Unexpected Turn of Event

Sometimes unexpected things happen to you in the unexpected place. Today’s story is about Keven, who also had faced something he never expected. Keven, aged 20, studying Hotel management had just started a new job in a hotel. Even though he was studying he wanted work to help his family and be more independent. He had to manage his college and work, so he would attend college in morning and work in evening.

After two weeks of training, he got the part of waiter in room service. He was really hard working, and would do his work perfectly. Only after working for a month he built in with team as he was very polite and would do any work he was given without any excuses, due to which his seniors were very happy with his performance especially his manager.

It was not very busy time on hotel as occupancy was down to 32%, it meant less work due to which, another waiter who was working in room service with Keven went on a week leave. Keven was only waiter in room service working at that time but he didn’t mind as he was planning to go on a leave himself after his co-worker's return.

It was just a normal day with less work in hotel, Keven and order taker were only ones working in room service. After having a dinner, Keven reported back to his station, it was not so much busy so he decided to help out in bar as there was a cricket match going on, so it was the busiest place in hotel that time. After an hour, order taker called him back as there an order from room no 201.

Room 201 was a VIP suite, they had ordered dinner. As soon as food was ready, Keven arranged the trolley and went to the room. As he knocked the door, man in his late thirties opened the door, he was a business man and was a regular guest. As Keven had severed him before when that guest was with his wife. Keven then entered and set the food for two but guest said he was alone, so Keven rearranged for only one person. As Keven was leaving after signing the bill, that man asked him to stop and handed him $50 bill as a tip. It was hell a large amount of tip. Keven conformed if that was really a tip. That man answered yes.

Keven was so happy that he got that much money as tip, but he wanted to share his happiness and gave $15 to the order taker. After half an hour same room called for the clearances of the trolley. Keven went back to that room, this time door was half open as Keven knocked on the door, that man said him to enter.

That man was lying in sofa almost naked, he only had his underwear on. This kind of things are common to see in room service as people wants to be felt as home, so Keven didn’t mind much. Keven asked if he can help with something, that man asked him to make a coffee.

When Keven was making coffee, that person asked Keven about his family and stuff. Keven answered his every question without any commission. Keven knew he was alone and wanted rush back but that person kept on asking Keven question. They talked for like 20 minutes after that Keven insisted that he has to go back and collected that trolley to leave, when that person handed him another $20. Keven didn’t knew what to do as he hasn’t gotten that much tip altogether in last one months of his working. That person then said he really liked Keven’s serve and it was a gift so Keven took it and left the room.

Keven was really happy, he got tip worth of his half salary in one day. Next day, same room 201 ordered dinner around 8 o’clock, it was earlier than before. Keven was excited to go to the room who has tipped him the highest. He arranged the food in trolley and went to room. After two knock, that person opened the door, he was on his towel this time. Keven went inside and started to set the table, when that person offered to help, Keven simply smiled.

While they were setting the table, their hands softly burst into each other. Then that person held Keven’s hand and said he had really soft hand. Keven felt really weird and pulled his hand back and bow with a little smile, gesturing thank you. That person again started with his question about Keven. This it was personal questions like his girlfriends, how many times he had kissed and stuff like that. Keven felt really uneasy to answer those question, he tried avoided most of them.

Phone on the room rang, it was from room service. That person picked up and said he had held Keven because he had some work to be done in his room. Then he said to Keven “tell them that you were fixing my T.V, if you tell them you were talking with me then you might get in trouble.” Keven nodded and step back to leave as that person said he would tip Keven when he comes for clearance. Keven slightly smiled and left.

When Keven got back to his station it was kind of mess, there was three order pending. Keven rushed and within 15 minutes he delivered all the orders, his manager was also on duty due to which he got a helping hand. When he got back after his last pending order, he got back to see his manager furious. Keven got scolded for being in room 201 for too long due to which orders piled up. Keven explained how was held up by guest and apologized for late.

Keven just got back from his dinner when order taker told him to go back to room 201 for clearance and "be fast this time" said order taker. Keven went back to that room, it was like that person was waiting for Keven to come. He was still on his towel and looked like he was drunk. Keven started to arrange trolley to take away.

That person was lying on bed and called Keven. Keven went there, that person handed Keven a watch, which looked quite expensive. Keven said he cannot accept that as per hotel policy. That person picked up the phone and called security manager and said that he has given Keven watch as a gift. Then he said I told that to your security manager so it will not be problem and forced Keven to take that watch. Keven took it and thanked him.

Keven took step back to leave when that person stopped him. He asked for Keven’s number and said they can hung out when Keven was not on duty. Keven said he cannot do that as he was not supposed to have any personal relation with guest. But that man insisted and it was already been awhile since Keven has been there and Keven didn’t wanted to get in trouble again so he gave his number.

Keven said bye to leave when that person grabbed Keven’s hand, Keven pulled his hand and asked what he was doing. That person blocking the door said “have you ever been with a man, come on it will be fun.” Keven froze for a second after he heard that, he came back to senses when that person put his hand in Keven’s butt. Keven took a step back to be away from there. That person bite his lips, Keven didn’t know what to do.

Knock. Knock. Knock. Both of them stand where they were and turn towards door, luckily door was unlocked, person on the other side of door whispered “Excuse me, I am getting in.” It was manager, Keven breath in relive. Then manager said he needs to take Keven as he was needed in service. That person made way for Keven to leave. Keven got the trolley and rushed out of there.

When Keven and manager got back to their service area, Keven explained what happened. Manager started laughing after minutes he said that guest was bio sexual and had done something like that with another guy therefore when Keven took so long in there, he came to check on him. Keven had no idea about that before and thanked the manager. Keven was shocked what just happened with him, he was shaking hard.

Whenever that guest from room no 201 was in hotel, he always asked for Keven but after that Keven never got in front of him. Whenever that guest either Keven would take leave or avoid him.
